Festival attendees and film lovers alike gather together every day from March 14-19, from 4-7pm at UBAR and Tavern on Camac, for the first time ever, as the official watering holes for qFLIX Philadelphia 2017! You can mix and mingle, compare notes on your favorite films and maybe catch a glimpse of an out-of-town guest, a director or actor you just yesterday caught up on the BIG SCREEN!

Kiss Me I’m Irish and Gay, the Official Gayborhood St. Patrick’s Party @ UBar

We kick off festival week with our annual fundraiser, Kiss Me I’m Irish and Gay, with 100% of the proceeds going to support qFLIX Philadelphia.  Join us with a splash of green as this 10 year tradition continues.  Music, free drink and drink specials, raffles, food, free tee shirts, and more, all for a small donation of just $20.  This is an event that is not to be missed.  Come enter a change to will ALL ACCESS badges to qFLIX Philadelphia.

Festival Badge Holder Kick-Off Reception @ Writer’s Block Rehab

1342 Cypress Street

Kick off the festival at one of the Gayborhood’s newest and hottest additions at a reception hosted at the ultra-stylized Writer’s Block Rehab.  Badge Holders and guest enjoy a free Stoli-sponsored Festival Cocktail, tempting drink specials, and complimentary sultry food samplings for all festival attendees and badge holders.  ALL Badges will be available for pick up at this event.

Opening Night Party – “Kiss Me I’m Irish and Gay – The Sequel” @ Woody’s

202 S 13th Street

Let’s continue the celebration of Irish and Gay following the Northeast Premiere of the gay Irish film, “Handsome Devil.”  Bring your badge or opening night ticket and receive a complimentary Smirnoff cocktail, $5 Smirnoff’s until midnight, “Irish-themed” appetizers, and other amazing drink specials!

Have a drink, grab some food and get to know the festival’s producers, supporters, staffers, volunteers, jurors, donors and all the wonderful attendees, while enjoying the beats featuring guest DJ Carl Michaels. So what it’s Tuesday? Dance the night away as we continue to celebrate Philadelphia’s LGBTQ 23rd year of gay independent film and celebrate love from around the world!

“When the Lights Come Up” Festival Reception @ Tavern on Camac – Ascend Lounge

The festival celebration continues at one of this year’s “Official Watering Holes”, Tavern on Camac, Ascend Lounge. Join us in giving Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection to the fabulous cast and crew from feature films: “OPEN,” and award-winning director of “Flatbush Luck,” Casper Adreas, and featuring a special musical performance by “Flatbush” cast member, Juahn Cabrera.

“Song & Dance with a Side of Laughter” Festival Reception @ Tavern on Camac – The Piano Bar

The festival week’s partying continues at The Piano Bar at Tavern on Camac with Nile Webber on the keys. It’s a friendly “meet & greet” and sing-along with the cast and crew from “Kiki,” “Strike A Pose,” and comedian Sampson McCormick from “A Touch Act To Follow.”

“Grinder” Party @ UBar

No, we didn’t spell it incorrectly. Yes, we meant “er.” “Grinder” also happens to be name of our award-winning, First Time Director, Brandan Ruckdashel’s feature film. Join us after their screening and the rest of the “Adult Content” movies that evening and let’s join the rest of the Gayborhood celebrating St. Pat’s Day!

“Before the Lights Go Out” Filmmaker’s Reception (for badge holders only) @ Sofitel Philadelphia

Take a quick break between films or relax and unwind beforehand, with a fabulous Festival Cocktail and delicious complimentary hors d’oeuvres courtesy of the always elegant, Sofitel Philadelphia. Our featured guests will include producer, cast and crew representing several festival highlighted films including: “Search Engines,” “bwoy,” “Small Town Rage,” “Ribbons,” “Manly Stanley Takes New York,” and “Something Like Summer”.

“qFLIX Pink Lemonade” Festival Cocktail (First one is Free for festival attendees and $5 for each additional) | Stoli, club soda, triple sec, grenadine and lemon juice

Who says you “can’t go out on a school night?”  Join the festival fun and frolic with the friendly staff of Knock Restaurant and Bar to celebrate the entire festival and the North American Premiere of “Something Like Summer,” the closing night film. Guests can also enjoy beer / wine specials, drink specials, and complimentary appetizers. As a Special Guest, Adam Haines, will provide the live musical score to our celebration. You won’t want to miss the farewell party to qFLIX Philadelphia 2017!
